SAICSIT
Founded in 1982, the South African Institute for Computer Scientists and Information Technologists (SAICSIT) aims to:
- ENHANCE research and development collaboration with other professional bodies;
- SUPPORT education and training;
- SEEK solutions to technical and socio-economic problems in South Africa by means of research and development projects;
- STRIVE for professionalism and excellence.
The 46th Annual conference of the South African Institute of Computer Scientists and Information Technologists (SAICSIT) will be hosted at the Coastlands Umhlanga Hotel from July 17th to 18th, 2025 as an in-person conference. This edition of the conference is co-hosted by the Discipline of Information Systems and Technology and the Discipline of Computer Science, at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. The conference remains the pinnacle South African event for computing professionals and the theme for this edition is: “Sustainable Digital Intelligent Frontiers” where we will engage with research around advancements in sustainable technological innovation.
